After a long season of false starts into responsible adulthood, Hannah finally seems to be growing up.
Girls‘ Season 4 finale, titled “Home Birth,” is an obvious metaphor for our typically immature protagonist’s coming of age. While Caroline is literally giving birth to her daughter Jessa-Hannah Bluebell Poem (yes, you read that correctly), Hannah is experiencing a rebirth as an adult. With ex-boyfriend Adam present during his sister’s frenzied labor, the scene provides the ideal setting for Hannah to show just how much she’s progressed.
