Although seemingly random, Louis C.K.’s standup bit on cannibalism at the end of episode 5, the second of a six-part saga entitled “Elevator,” actually anchors the entire episode, and serves as a logical transition to episode 6. It’s a metaphor for how people find it easier to harm others they don’t relate to. Both “Elevator Part 2” and “Elevator Part 3” deal with the messiness of communication — of which there are many examples on Louie this week.
